1.2 Yaw brakes

Yaw brakes are, in all cases, active brakes: they are always working, changing their working pressure, which can be higher or lower, but always on.
Their model name indicates the number of pistons and their diameter (for example: HE-2-75: 2 x 75 mm pistons)

1.2.1. Active brakes

HE-2-75
Its main technical characteristics are:

  • Clamping force up to 140.000 N and maximum pressure up to 160 bar
  • Two 75 mm pistons
  • Positive brake
  • Hydraulically applied

HE 2 - 75 active brakes
HE-2-90
Its main technical characteristics are:

  • Clamping force up to 200.000 N and maximum pressure up to 250 bar
  • Two 90 mm pistons
  • Positive brake
  • Hydraulically applied

HE 2 - 90 active brakes
HE-3-120
Its main technical characteristics are:

  • Clamping force up to 610.000 N and maximum pressure up to 180 bar
  • Three 120 mm pistons
  • Positive brake
  • Hydraulically applied

HE 3 -120 active brakes
OPTIONS
Apart from the already mentioned brake-specific options, there are some common options valid for all brakes. These are the following:

  • Yaw brake lining:
    • Antec offers organic linings, and we offer different models depending on the required performance:
    • Organic lining
  • Lining wear detector:
    • Function:
    • On/off Indicator (brake on/ brake off)
    • Lining wear indicator
  • Types of lining wear detectors:
    • Inductive
    • Mechanical
